Tricks to Secure E-mails from being Hacked

It is said that prevention is better than cure. No one knows if someone is trying to hack your mail or when your mail will be hacked. So it is better to be prepared rather than to face the consequences.

The following steps will help you to secure your mails

Step 1

Do not Click on unwanted Links

We often get mails having hyperlink or url which are unexpected or unwanted. Make sure that you do not click in those links, do which virus may attack to your system.

For links from companies such as banking institutions, hover your cursor over the hyperlink or right”click to show the links final destination. Before you click, make sure the address that pops up when you hover over the link matches where the hyperlink says you'll be sent.

Step 2

keep Separate Mails for personal and work

Never use your personal email for official purpose or official e-mails for other online activities.

Step 3

Be organized

Always organise your mails, make different folders for different mails. This may help you when an hacker try to hack your mail as he will know which folder to go for, or to take multiple steps to search for wanted information.

Step 4

Archive Regularly and Early

You need to archive regularly and early. Set up regularly scheduled archiving so that e-mails are moved off of the server after a certain number of days.

Hope this may help you a lot. If you think this was helpful to you please do not hesitate to like or to write your comments and share this.
